تدور أحداث الفيلم عن الرجل المُسن فاحش الثراء داميان (بن كنيجسلي)، والذي يصير على وشك الموت إثر إصابته بمرض السرطان، ولكنه يخضع لعملية جراحية تنقل عقله إلى جسد سليم لأحد الشباب، ولكنه لا يكتفي بذلك، فيبدأ بتعقب أصل هذا الجسد، ليكتشف أن الأمر أكبر مما كان يتخيل، خاصة مع معرفته بضلوع مؤسسات كبيرة بشكل سري في هذه العملية.
