يحكي المسلسل قصة اخ و اخته, حيث وجدا بلورة اماني تشبه في شكلها البيضة, ولكنها شبه مسطحة ذات خطوط عمودية ملونة, والتي مكنتهما من الانتقال عبر عالمين, عالمنا الواقعي وعالم التنانين من خلال الامساك بالحجر وترديد هذه الكلمات "اتمنى, اتمنى من كل قلبي ان اطير مع التنانين الى ارض بعيدة" وعندما ينويان الرجوع الى عالمنا هذا يقومان بترديد كلمات معينة هي, "اتمنى, اتمنى بهذه الجملة ان اعود الى المنزل الى المرة المقبلة" دون الحاجة الى مسك الحجر البلوري.
Two siblings, Max and Emmy, find an enchanted dragon scale capable of transporting them to a whimsical fantasy land inhabited by colorful anthropomorphic dragons by reciting a rhyme. They befriend four friendly dragons Cassie, Ord, Zak, Wheezie and Quetzal.

After moving to a new house, a 6-year-old girl named Emmy and her little 4-year-old brother named Max find a magical dragon scale that takes them to Dragon Land, a place where they meet magical dragon friends, Cassie, Ord, Zak and Wheezie the 2-headed dragon, and Quetzal the teacher at their School in the Sky.
