يتمحور المسلسل حول خمسة شخصيات، الذين ولدوا وتشأوا في بلدة هادئة والتي يمكن وصفها بالمدينة الفاضلة، وهي مدينة غنية جدا بالمياه والأشجار، والعالم يحكمه أشخاص يتمتعون بقدرات ملعونة من التحريك الذهني. بعد حادثة معينة تدرك الشخصيات الطبيعة الحقيقية لعالمهم، فيتعلمون كل شيء حتى التاريخ الدموي للإنسانية الذي أدى إلى هذا الوضع، ويدخلوا في مغامرة خطرة من أجل إنقاذ أصدقائهم وهذا العالم. ملاحظة، الشخصيات الرئيسية ستمر على ثلاث مراحل عمرية خلال أحداث الأنمي في عمر 12 , 14 و 26 سنة.
