تبدأ أحداث هذا المسلسل بعد مرور عام واحد من أحداث الحلقة الأخيرة من مسلسل "الزوجة الصالحة" / The Good Wife، حيث تتسبب عملية احتيال مالي ضخمة في تقويض سمعة المحامية الشابة "مايا ريندل" واستنفاد مدخرات عرابتها ومرشدتها "ديان لوكهارت"، لتضطر المحاميتان مكرهتين إلى مغادرة شركة "لوكهارات" و"لي" والانضمام إلى "لوكا كوين" في إحدى شركات المحاماة البارزة في "شيكاغو".

Picking up one year after the events of the final broadcast episode of "The Good Wife", an enormous financial scam has destroyed the reputation of a young lawyer, Maia Rindell, while simultaneously wiping out her mentor and godmother Diane Lockhart's savings. Forced out of her law firm, now called "Lockhart, Deckler, Gussman, Lee, Lyman, Gilbert, Lurie, Kagan, Tannebaum & Associates", they join Lucca Quinn at one of Chicago's preeminent law firms.

Season 1

Due to an enormous financial scam, in which they lost all their savings and reputation, the first season follows Diane Lockhart and her goddaughter Maia Rindell as they are forced to join Lucca Quinn at one of Chicago's preeminent law firms.
