Overview
In 2018, humans and wizards live together in Tokyo. Police continue to protect order in society, but wizards are tried according to magical law, in special courts defended by wizard barristers. At age seventeen, Cecile has just become the youngest wizard barrister, and begins work at the Butterfly Law Offices. While she hasn’t realized it yet, she has tremendous magical potential.
Season 1
In a modern society where humans and magic users live side-by-side, the judicial system has been divided between those who use magic and those who don’t. In the Court of Magic, the Wizard Barristers serve as legal representatives for magic users who have been charged with varying crimes. Enter Cecil Sudo, the youngest Wizard Barrister in existence, who sets out to dispense her own brand of justice- in and out of the courtroom!
Lady Justice: Sword and Scales
Cecil, a brand new Wizard Barrister, ends up witnessing a bank robbery on her way to her first day at Butterfly Law Offices. Coincidentally, a man named Kohinata was being apprehended on suspicions of being part of the No Face gang, who robbed the bank and she says that she'll represent him. Cecil believes his words that it was in self defense, but this also had to do with the fact that her mother was on deathrow on the charges of murder.
